Marilyn Fung graduated from the Eastman School of Music, the Juilliard School, and received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree on double bass performance from the University of Michigan. She is a member of the Windsor Symphony, the Talisker Players, Nota Bene Period Orchestra and a frequent performer with Bach Collegium-Fort Wayne and many other orchestras in southwestern Ontario and Michigan. While attending the University of Michigan, she studied viola da gamba with Enid Sutherland. She has participated in Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute, Baroque Performance Institute (Oberlin), the Viola da Gamba Conclave and the Bloomington Early Music Festival. She plays both tenor and bass viola da gamba as well as the violone. She is a founding member of Michigan Baroque and Le Noci Marroni, and performs with Greensleaves, Valencia Duo, and the Montgomery Consort of Viols.
